Who we are

Rural Premise Co. helps businesses get commercial premises built on the rural-urban fringe. Our office is at 481 Parnell Road, Parnell, Auckland. If you have a question about this policy or your information, email us at hello@ruralpremise.co or call 021 661 973.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through our website, we collect the details you enter: your name, business name, email, phone number, location, business type, the service you are interested in and your message. We also collect anything you tell us by phone, email or in person.

When you visit the website, our hosting provider automatically records technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view. We also use the tools described below to measure how the site and our advertising are performing.

You do not have to give us any personal information, but we may not be able to respond to an enquiry without your contact details.

How we use it

We use your information to:

  • respond to your enquiry and arrange a call or meeting
  • provide our services if you go ahead with a project
  • understand how people find and use our website
  • measure our advertising and show our ads to people more likely to be interested
  • meet our legal and accounting obligations

We do not sell your personal information.

Advertising and analytics

Meta pixel

We use the Meta pixel, a piece of code from Meta (the company behind Facebook and Instagram). It records actions on our website, such as viewing a page or sending an enquiry, and sends that information to Meta. This helps us see whether our Facebook and Instagram ads lead to enquiries, and lets Meta show our ads to people who have visited the site or are similar to people who have.

Meta may connect this information to your Facebook or Instagram account and uses it under its own privacy policy. We do not send the contents of your enquiry, such as your name, email or message, to Meta. You can manage this in your Meta account under Accounts Centre > Your information and permissions > Your activity off Meta technologies, adjust your ad preferences, or block third-party cookies in your browser.

Cookies

These tools use cookies and similar technology stored in your browser. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The website will still work if you do.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers who help us run our business, and only as far as they need it. These include our website host, Netlify, which stores enquiry form submissions, and Meta, as described above. Some of these providers store information overseas, including in the United States. We use providers that protect information to a standard comparable with New Zealand law.

If you become a client, we may share relevant project details with the consultants, contractors and councils involved in your project. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

How we protect and keep it

We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure and to limit access to the people who need it. We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or to meet our legal obligations, then delete it.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Email hello@ruralpremise.co and we will respond within 20 working days. We may need to confirm your identity first.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, please talk to us first. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
